Bohol's version of Boracay, Alona!
Most tourists refer to it as Alona maybe because the first hotels in the area have Alona in their names, like Alona Kew and Alona Tropical.
Alona is like a small "Boracay" in Bohol. Boracay Island is another famous beach destination in Aklan Province.
Alona is a strip of beachfront resorts with lively bars and restaurant offering different kinds of refreshments, meals, and night entertainments to visiting tourists. Hotels and guest houses are just next to each other.
For people who just want to go to Bohol and enjoy the whole stay in the beach, Alona would be a perfect choice.
To those searching for some Asian food, just wait a little bit for this restaurant to finally operate here at Alona in Panglao Island, Bohol. As of now, they are still finishing construction of the building to hold this exciting restaurant.
Most of the roads in Panglao are already concreted. Alona area just got finished cementing all its access roads offering a lot of convenience to visitors. It feels like a small beach city to me. Everything you need in daily living is all here. If price is not an issue to you, then you can definitely live in Alona as much as you want.
We are glad to find a stall with Boholano favorite 'painit' or snack, putomaya and sikwate. It is best to eat at 3'oclock in between your heavy meals or just anytime when you feel like eating them.
Right upon entering the beach strip, this is going to be the picture greeting you.
Alona Kew White Beach has a direct access to the beach and it is just right at the entrance to Alona. More resorts are still available when you stroll along the Alona strip.
For tourists, a money changer is one of the must visit places. You are lucky because Alona has one. Bank of the Philippine Islands' (BPI) atm's are also available.
